A Fun Filled Vacation On Enchanting Maui

August 31st, 2009

Presented by Susan

You are deciding about coming to Hawaii. If this is your first flight to the islands, there are several things you should know about creating the kind of Maui vacation that you want.

It just so happens that Maui, is one of the most popular islands with tourists. Not only does Maui have a wide variety of things to do when compared to the other islands, you’ll find that there are many Maui Resorts and Condos where you can stay inexpensively. And this is a great time to come to Maui because rates are very competitive.

If you are coming to Hawaii to get married, you might want to seriously consider getting married on Maui. It is the best of the islands for sunset weddings, which is shown by the fact that half of all weddings in Hawaii take place on Maui. If you decide to get married in Hawaii you will want to find a company who offers Maui Weddings Packages for your special day.

If you really want to keep more of your money, the easiest way to coordinate your vacation is to book your airplane flight, lodging and car rental as part of a package. All of those vendors will offer you a much better price than if you booked those items independent of each other. So, what’s the best way to get a travel package deal? Simple. . .

Use a travel consultant, who offers the kind of personalized service that is so lacking from the do-it-yourself Internet travel websites. But be sure to find an agent from whom you can receive answers about making your trip to Hawaii the vacation of a lifetime.

The best way to have a really good vacation in paradise is to do a little research about  Hawaii Travel.

Affiliate Marketing Via Review Sites

August 31st, 2009

The most profitable method I have for generating income online is by selecting a product from Clickbank and creating a one-page review site for that product.  I learned, and follow, this method from a product that many of you have probably heard about – Day Job Killer.  This method is easy to follow and implement and absolutely produces results.  I have about 15 sites that follow the method that Chris is promoting with his product and each of them bring in a nice steady income for me.

Just as with pretty much everything I do :) , I did not follow Chris’s advice completely… I set up the review portion based on what he teaches in the ebook, but I also implemented my Definitive SEO Traffic Guide to really explode the sales.  See, Chris teaches you how to get into the Pay Per Click market (mostly Google Adwords) and while his method is a great way to limit your losses and really increase you sales, I still like to get natural search engine traffic.  Maybe it is that I love SEO and playing around with my sites to get top placement in the search engines… it is addicting (for me anyway)!  But, if you wanted, you could just follow Chris’s plan.

If you want to get into affiliate marketing and start making some good money with review sites, I highly recommend following Day Job Killer with the addition of following my Search Engine Optimization Training Guide together these make a great combination for a residual monthly income!  As with any method, yes, you must complete the work, but if you do, this method pays for itself over and over and over.  I have sites that have been online for almost a year and a half following this method and I do nothing with them but watch Clickbank deposit money into my bank account every two weeks… yes, it is fun :)

There are other types of review sites as well, such as a blanket review site that reviews all kinds of various products in one market.  For example, say you create a review site in the baby market, you may review products such as:

Baby Names
Getting a Baby to Sleep
Conquering Colic
Potty Training
Natural Baby Health
etc.

I have tried these types of review sites in a couple of different markets over the years, including internet marketing, but I personally did not have very good results with them.  They are more work than the one-page review method described above and I simply never saw any type of income worth talking about… maybe $50 – $100 per month, but when you can create a one-page review site that is pulling in $250, $500 a month, the extra work involved in a “blanket” style review site isn’t worth it for me.  If there are people reading this blog that have had better results, please share your experience with us.  If this method can be successful I’m sure we’d all love to hear about it!

If you like this article and would like to discuss it, please post a comment or question on my blog at www.ShannonLueck.com.

Food Allergies: Why Are we Allergic?

August 31st, 2009

It is pretty strange how some people are allergic to certain foods. There are a few common food allergies which the majority of people are allergic to and this would include peanuts, fish, and milk. If you ever find that you are allergic to any type of food, you should not be alarmed, and certainly don’t think that your life is going to be over.

Millions of people in the United States alone are suffering from food allergies already, and there are certainly more than enough treatments available to help you live a normal life.

To diagnose a food allergy, the doctor must first determine whether or not the patient is having an adverse effect to any specific foods.

What it is

A food allergy is defined as being an immune system response to a food that the body mistakenly believes is harmful. So if you find that you do have food allergies there is really nothing wrong with you, it’s just that your body thinks in a different way than other people. The most dangerous possible side effects of food allergies is anaphylaxis which is a serious allergic reaction that is rapid in onset and which can even cause death.

This is the main reason that you need to take the topic of food allergies (caffeine allergy, tomato allergy, yeast allergy) so seriously, and make sure that you are aware of just what foods you are allergic to and then avoid them as best you can. You are pretty safe if you cook for yourself at home because of course you will know what foods you are using, but you need to be very careful when you go out to eat, and ask the waiter if you have to or even the chef directly if there is any of the food that you are allergic to in your meal.

One great idea, if you have food allergies, is to get a special cookbook so you can come up with great recipe ideas that do not include the foods you are allergic to. You can find these books just about anywhere, and if you have a nutritionist that you are working with already then your best bet will be to talk to them about this to get the most personalized advice.

You do not have to let your allergies rule your life, and there are so many things that you can do these days which helps make living with allergies to food easy.

Ever Tried Catfish?

August 31st, 2009

Sandwiches are a staple for most of us, but it’s easy to get in a rut, making or ordering the same old thing. Why not break out of the boring routine with a Southern-style po’ boy stuffed with crispy-coated U.S. catfish raised on the farm and all the extras that go along with it? In a shorter time than 10 minutes, this high-class sandwich is prepared for you to enjoy.

Once you’re hooked on the mild, sweet flavor and convenience of U.S. farm-raised catfish, you’ll want to keep a good thing going. Also try this versatile fish grilled or broiled with cajun or jerk seasonings, in tacos and in clam showder. To ensure you get catfish raised in a farm in the U.S. – request for it by name. Not only is this completely American item a wholesome, safe option, but people are content to know that it is raised in a good environment. Visit the poular seafood sites online for more information and recipes. For a free U.S. Catfish Raised on the Farm recipe leaflet, make your request via fax to a seafood dealer. And remember: You’re gonna love U.S. farm-raised catfish any way you cook it!

To bread the catfish, get two seperate bowls. Place the egg in one and breadcrumbs in the other. Ihe first bowl dip the catfish in the egg , and in the second bowl dip the catfish in the other, remember to shake off the excess breadcrumbs. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook the filets until well done.

Spread cut sides of the rolls with pesto.drain on paper towels. On bottoms of rolls, layer roasted red peppers, lettuce leaves and provolone; top each with a catfish fillet. Place roll tops on fish.

Top 5 Ways To Generate Low Cost Web Traffic

August 31st, 2009

There is one thing all people aim for when attempting to make an online business successful and that is producing a steady flow of website traffic. If people don’t visit your site, it will hardly have any chance of generating any income at all. It takes money to maintain an income generating web site.

Ever wonder how successful, revenue earning online businesses succeed? Most of them are spending lots of money to increase traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and researching different forms of marketing schemes.

You don’t have to do all the above to create revenue for your site if you don’t have the resources. There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you don’t have or can’t afford. Many people have relied on high cost methods and have ended up losing everything they own over it.

Below are the top five methods to generate low cost website traffic that I believe can help your site become successful. Even if you only generate a small percentage of successful visitors to client ratio, you will still see revenue, especially if you get high website traffic.

Exchange Links

This is a sure and proven method in the online business world. Rarely would you see a site where there is no link to another site. Many webmasters are willing to exchange links with one another so that they could produce more public awareness about their sites. You’ll soon see and feel the sudden increase of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites when you start to use this method.

A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites, is having the same niche or content as the other site you are trying to exchange links with. Both sites should share a common subject so that there is continuity in providing service and information to what interests your target visitor.

Exchanging links also boosts your chances of getting a high ranking in search engine results. It is common knowledge that search engines ranks sites that have inbound theme-related links. With a good rank position in the search engines, you will generate more web traffic for your site without the high costs.

Traffic Exchange

This is similar to exchanging links, but on a different and higher level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging or trading links, but could be made less expensive because you have the chance to earn more revenue. Traffic exchange services is the idea of viewing another person’s site or page. This is done by the other person as well. This makes it so a site can use the contents of your site and vise-versa. This makes it so that you both benefit from each others efforts to generate web traffic. The other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more about your site as well as theirs. Once again the public awareness of your site’s existence is boosted.

Write and Submit Articles

There are many e-zines and online encyclopedias on the internet which provide free space for articles to be submitted. If you want to save costs, you can write the articles yourself or there are many freelance writers who are willing to write for you for a small fee. Although, if your aim is to save money, it is wise to write the articles for yourself.

Write something that you have expertise on so that when people read your articles, they can feel your knowledge about the subject and will be eager to go to your site more and more. It is also a great idea to include a resource box at the end of your article that can link them to your site. Make sure you write a little about yourself and your site in the resource box. If you provide a light, information-laden and interesting article, they will go to your site for more which will create more web traffic and revenue for you.

Make a Newsletter

This may sound like hard work because of all the articles you may need to use to build a newsletter, but on the contrary, this is not true. There are many writers and sites that are willing to provide free articles so long as they can get their name in your newsletter someplace. As your newsletter gets passed around, you can broaden the public awareness of your website and maybe build an opt-in list for reader when your site becomes more successful.

Join Online Communities and Forums

This only requires your time and nothing else. This lets you share your knowledge and expertise with many online communities that are populated with people. You can also get free advertising when you visit forums that have the same subject or niche as your site. Make sure you share your two cents with everyone and let them see how knowledgeable you are with the subject. As you build your reputation, you also build the reputation of your website. Making it a reputable and honest business that could be visited and trusted by many people.

The College of the United States

August 30th, 2009

The College of the United States (one of the future colleges in Chicago) will strive to create global leaders of tomorrow capable of fulfilling the vision of our Founding Fathers by becoming successful men and women of principle and action, effective in spreading the benefits of reason and individualism, and the bounty of liberty worldwide through their work and their example.

We believe many students are aware that current influential ideologies do not reflect their values. Epistemological and ethical relativism, big-government mandated economics, entitlement politics and hostility to American values reign in Academia and ‘higher’ culture. These students are looking for alternatives to the typical colleges and universities in Chicago and the College of the United States will make that possible.

In addition to covering all traditional subjects, our curriculum is specifically designed to teach thinking skills, and how to powerfully integrate ideas and information by using the principles of philosophy.

Our graduates will be prepared to excel in their fields of choice due to their training in the comprehensive, integrative power of philosophy, highly developed creative thinking skills, broad knowledge in the humanities and sciences, and extensive real-world experience.

Rarely do schools specifically train and nurture students in thinking skills per se. This is the goal of the College of the United States.

Training for life (and work) is only possible by experiencing an education that enables the individual to continue educating himself. Adaptability is mankind’s greatest survival tool made possible by the reasoning and imaginative mind; preparing the student for all life’s variety and challenge is the sine qua non of education. Visit the College of the United States at http://www.rifinst.org.

Bathroom make over does not have to be stressful in order to be elegant

August 30th, 2009

If you’re contemplating giving your bathroom a make-over, then equine house decor is the answer. Theme related designs are a popular house and bathroom decorating style, not only because of the animal’s beauty, but also because of the versatility of available forms of horse decoration. Here are some thoughts on how to adorn your home with horse decoration. If you feel that bigger pieces are vain, you can begin with small accent pieces like a figurine on your hall table, a Texas star wall clock, bookends with horse figures, or wall art with horse design. You can also erect a large welcome sign or welcome mat with horse and cowboy design to set the tone or mood of the house.

Different types of horse decoration include articles of furniture such as a rural themed chest or armoire with a deep color finish, accented with a horse design.

Unique pieces such as toilet paper holders can be either a centerpiece or accent for a bathroom, with the horse figure serving as a couch or end table. This horse figure as base can also be used for table lamps or you can have a beautiful horse scene in the shade and when lit, the shade gives really beautiful western colors. If you’re the type of person who loves wax lights and oils, there are horse oil lamps made of ceramic that you can put any scented oil in, as well as wrought iron candle holders that are horse themed.

You can also hang some equine art in the wall with the size depending on your preference and on the size of the bathroom but if you want bigger designs, you can paint a mural on one wall or use wallpaper with equine designs. Other kinds of accent items are throws, rugs and pillows that are imprinted with equine images since these items will make any kind of house or cabin more fascinating. Quilts, bedding and pillow cases with horse patterns are perfect for a horse-loving kid’s bathroom.

Horse figure pieces also blend well in country-style bathrooms so you can easily add a horse towel bar, tissue holder, shower curtain or rug with this type of design to your bathroom. You can also place a few decorative tiles with horse design in your sink. Horse figures can be incorporated into your house decor in a variety of ways – for example, you can use wrought iron figures as plant or magazine holders, or you might use them as cabinet door knobs.

Planning a bathroom remodel can be fun when you have the right bathroom remodeling tips and bathroom remodel ideas along with the right contractor and budget.

Surprisingly, some individuals who incorporate horse decor are not even horse riders nor are they of western or country origin, they just simply love the horse form. Though it can be simple to find stores selling equestrian home decoration, local house stores and the web can provide special pieces you may not find anyplace else.

Let the beauty and charm of your bathroom shine through by accentuating some of the many available designs highlighting our your favorite theme.

For A Successful Retirement, Start Early in Life

August 30th, 2009

The earlier you start your retirement planning, the longer you have to achieve your goals and the less expensive it will be for you. For example, if you plan to retire at age 65, and you only start thinking about a retirement plan at age 60, you only have 5 years to start saving for retirement. However, if you are just starting out in a career, and you are in your twenties, you have 40 or more years to start saving for retirement. Obviously, you have much more time to start saving for retirement. We started investing in mutual funds from American Funds. Even though we may change or move our money from one fund to another, it continues to work for us.

And don’t confuse retirement savings with a 529 Savings Account. The 529 Plans are designed to help families save for college costs. These are tax-free accounts specifically designed for educational expenses and if you try to use them for retirement, you will be assessed a penalty.

Most people erroneously think that the time to start Retirement Planning is once they approach their golden years. This is wrong! The opposite is in fact, true! It is simple math to see why it is better to start investing for retirement at the youngest age possible. Let’s take a simple formula to see what happens. Let’s start with 2 people with only $1,000 to invest. Elmer is 60 years old and has 10 years until retirement. Johnny is fresh out of school and won’t retire for another 40 years. Both put their $1000 in a mutual fund that averages a meager 5% every year.

At the end of the period, Elmer would have earned an addition $600 for a total of $1629. Not much of a retirement! But Johnny would have over $7000! And if each adds $1000 every year for the term, at the end Elmer would have $14,835 and Johnny would have a whopping $134,000!

Lazy days of summer are coming soon

August 30th, 2009

Ok, I’ve had enough, it’s too cold here. I just got back from a weeks vacation in the desert southwest where it was warm, comfortable and inviting. I return to frigid cold weather that has me scrambling for a warm bath every night. I want summer back!

I remember the lazy days of summer when you’d sit on the wooden garden benches watching the kids play in the swimming pool (surrounded by a proper swimming pool fence of course) and enjoying the feeling sun on your face. It was wonderful, if not a little noisy from the kids splashing in the water. But even with the noise it was still fun and certainly relaxing to watch them.

Or even just sitting on the plastic adirondack chair in the front yard and watch the various cars and people go by. If you had no where to go it was a great way to waste the afternoon and sometimes you noticed really crazy things.

You didn’t have to care about all the frozen issues of winter because it was months away. You just wanted to be sure the air conditioning worked inside the house as the temperature rose to a sweltering 110 degrees. Ok, maybe that’s too hot. But right now I’d take it, I’m freezing!

How about boating on the lake, or camping in a tent with your friends, or even sleeping in the tree house? Do you remember all the fun things you used to do as a kid during the summer? It would be nice to get back to those easier days.

There Are Some Illnesses More Critical Than Others

August 30th, 2009

Summary

The factors you should think about when choosing critical illness cover and the rangeof companies offering thissort of policy.

Your mortgage provider may give you quite a few financial products together with critical illness cover. But, as they are not specialists in this field, you will most likely find a better deal somewhere else.

The level of cover on offer is just as vital as the premium when looking forcritical illness cover. The policies from Nationwide and Alliance and Leicester are awfully restricted says a senior adviser at LifeSearch, a telephone and online life assurance broker. Liverpool and Victoria covers only seven critical illnesses, with Norwich Union covering just 10, whereas the market leader, Swiss Life, covers 39.

Parkinsons, Aids, loss of speech, deafness, blindness and diabetes are some of the conditions not covered by some of the High Street names. The advisersays that it is not worth thinking abouta policy, which insures less than 25 conditions.

An umbrella term incorporated in all policies is ‘total and permanent disabilities’, this term means you are insured for any illness, which stops you from working permanently.

You neeed to be aware of the wording as some policies cover ‘any occupation’ while other policies only cover your ‘own’ occupation. You will not receive a payout under a ‘any occupation’ policy unless you are totally incapable of carryingout a job, however unskilled. Consequently The senior adviserrecommends you sign up for a ‘own’ occupation policy.

There are a range of companies as well as Aviva who offer comprehensive insurance including Legal and General, Norwich Union, Standard Life, Scottish Equitable, Scottish Provident, Friends Provident, Liverpool Victoria, Skandia and Zurich Life.

For many years life insurance  has been sold by a mortgage company. This has resulted in critical illness cover never being considered by many people. There are four times as many claims on critical illness insurance compared to life insurance, when the client has taken out both types of policies.

Life insurance cover is really important, specially if you have dependents, as they will welcome the lump sum settlement on your death. However critical illness cover ought to be the priority if you have debts to settle, above all a home owner loan. The Directorconsiders critical illness to be essential as it covers the cost of your house and food, even if you are ill and unable to work.

The monthly payments will be larger if you are a smoker or heavy drinker and will also be more expensive if you are older. A decreasing term policy, which is targeted at people only wanting to cover the cost of their home owner loan, is the cheapest.

One of Spencer Knight’s customers, a 27 year old non-smoker, who wanted100,000 pounds cover from a critical illness, long term policy, was given a price of 14 pounds 40 pence per month, which rose to £25-50p for smokers. However a senior adviserfrom Tesco Finance recommended a policy, which gave both life insurance and critical illness cover for £16-60 a month, so it could be worth paying a bit higher premium.
